Together we can make a difference! After nearly 3 years and countless hours, we finally reached a settlement for the 18 Brownlow (71 Redpath) development.It was a team effort involving our councillor, Josh Matlow, city planning and legal staff and the community. One particularly troublesome development application is at 18 Brownlow Ave (now appealed by the developer to the OMB, scheduled for early Aug, 2017). The developer has proposed 2 massive towers of 20 and 25 storeys on a complete city block fronting Soudan (between Redpath and Brownlow Avenues), but on a very shallow property of (mostly) only 100’ deep … 463 units will replace the current 16 residences.
