SAVE THE REGENT THEATRE

More than 100 people attended the community meeting to share ideas on how to save the Regent Theatre. The Regent Theatre on Mount Pleasant is for sale and there is concern about the future of this historic building. Councillor Josh Matlow is hosting a community meeting on January 22 to explore some creative options to preserve this iconic site. Please come and help Save the Regent Theatre. Together we can make a difference.

Heritage Fun Facts – Where is Joseph Avenue?

The western part of Millwood Road was originally named Joseph Avenue after Joseph Davis as seen on the Goad map from 1913. The name of this portion of the street was changed to Millwood Road with the amalgamation of the Village of North Toronto with the City of Toronto.
